Capuchin Friary, Pantasaph, North Wales

If you ever visit Holywell in North Wales and have time to spare, you’d be negligent not to visit the Capuchin Franciscan Friary at Pantasaph.
The Parish Church has been decorated and transformed over the past 10 or so years. So too has the gardens, where the National Shrine of St Pio has been established.
There are also some lovely walks. Visit the Lourdes grotto set in the backdrop of the old quarry whose stone was used by the first brothers to build the friary.
After this follow the Stations of the Cross as they wind up the hill behind the friary and when at the top enjoy a spectacular view looking across to Liverpool.
Then lose yourself in prayer . . . .
